The hotel’s Urbanic Hidden Garden theme immerses guests in a serene environment that promotes well-being through ample natural lighting and carefully designed airflow. This thoughtful design reflects RA Suites’ commitment to creating spaces that harmonize aesthetic appeal with the principles of wellness.
Navigating Design and Environmental Challenges
Crafting such a welcoming atmosphere was no small feat. The tropical climate of Jakarta demands resilience in building materials, compelling RA Suites to strike a delicate balance between visual allure and functional integrity. High-traffic areas, such as staircases, pool decks, and flooring, required materials capable of enduring daily use while maintaining a warm and inviting ambiance. Additionally, the project aimed to minimize its environmental footprint while ensuring a low-maintenance experience for both staff and guests.
Conwood: The Ideal Solution
Conwood was chosen as the hero material for these challenges, embodying a mix of durability, style, and environmental consideration. Installed in the spiral staircase, pool deck, and flooring, Conwood’s wood-like appearance enhances the natural feel of the Urbanic Hidden Garden theme. Resistant to moisture, weather, and even fire, Conwood provides the resilience necessary for Jakarta’s climate while keeping maintenance low. The hotel’s local sourcing of Conwood also reduces carbon emissions associated with material transport. Through Conwood, RA Suites creates a welcoming, durable space where guests can relax in harmony with nature.
