LBM moves forward with its commitment to creating a sustainable low-carbon society.

On November 29, 2024, the LBM group, consisting of INSEE Mortar Business Unit, INSEE Superblock Co., Ltd., and Conwood Co., Ltd., organized the event “INSEE Xclusive Dinner Talk by LBM” under the concept INSEE Low Carbon Society, or INSEE…Building a Sustainable Low-Carbon Society, at The Standard Bangkok Mahanakhon Hotel.

The LBM group places great importance on the continuous research and development of environmentally friendly products. Recognizing the critical issues of global warming, volatile climate conditions, and changing environmental factors, the group is fully committed to achieving the nation’s greenhouse gas reduction goals while transforming the organization toward sustainable operations aligned with a low-carbon society. These efforts include reducing waste, minimizing excessive energy use, and implementing recycling initiatives, as detailed below:

1. Waste Heat – Reutilizing waste heat by converting the hot air generated during manufacturing into electricity for subsequent production processes. This reduces energy consumption and air pollution.

2. Waste Management – Enhancing production management systems to minimize waste materials and maximize the reuse of leftover materials for optimal efficiency, thereby reducing overall waste generation.

3. Wet Pulp – Utilizing pure fiber pulp from recycled paper as raw material, saving preparation time, reducing water consumption, decreasing reliance on imported raw materials, and lowering production costs.

The products under the INSEE Cement Group have received numerous environmental certifications, such as the Green Label, Green Industry certifications, and Carbon Footprint of Product assessments.

During the INSEE Xclusive Dinner Talk, sustainability expert Mr. Top Pipat Apiraktanakorn, an eco-designer and founder of ECOLIFE under Kid Kid Co., Ltd., was invited to share insights on managing and developing organizations alongside sustainable environmental practices. He emphasized that preserving resources and the environment starts with a clear organizational vision, effectively communicated to all employees. The more awareness is instilled at the individual level, the more livable society becomes.
